On Thursday, November 4th and Friday 5th we were so excited to receive two awards, the first for the City of Clarence Business Excellence award for Enterprise and Innovation, and on the Friday we were awarded the Silver Hosted Accommodation Tasmanian Tourism Award for the second time.
The City of Clarence Business Excellence awards acknowledge businesses that are doing exceptional things. We received the Enterprise and Innovation award. Our enterprising and innovative initiatives included a significant guest enhancement program, collaboration with some of Tassie's iconic tourism attractions, social initiatives with local community support, University of Tasmania internships, and our strong focus on sustainability.
The Tasmanian Tourism Awards is the premier Awards program in the Tasmanian tourism industry. The Awards are designed to encourage and recognise innovation, excellence, quality and sustainability in tourism, while providing a benchmark for industry best practice. The Silver award for the Hosted Accommodation Category recognises excellence in hosted accommodation that offers a bed & breakfast, farm stay, cottage or other intimate accommodation experience and must meet a minimum 3.5 Hosted Accommodation Star Rating Standard.
